Getting noticed is in the details

Over the past couple weeks I had the chance to do two installs on two different local Mk5 GTI’s. The first was a 42 Draft Designs Stealth Catch Can Kit for a 2008 GTI and shortly after, a Forge Twintake system for a 2006 GTI. I have seen both products in person prior to making these films and was very impressed with the build quality and operation. If you’re gearing up to get either of these parts on your 2.0T, go ‘head and watch the video(s) through first to get an idea of how it’ll all shake down. When you’re ready to do it on your own, you should be done in under an hour. Keep in mind too that these videos are mobile-friendly so if you get to a part of the install you’re not sure on, just open up your phone’s browser and click play!

In other unrelated news, it’s getting warm again. The first big show of the year for me will be Southern Worthersee down in Helen, Georgia. I have a few odds and ends to tend to with the 1OFF GLI, but in the meantime to keep me busy, I’ll be starting another Mk4 engine bay project. Initially, we were hoping for a SoWo debut however I already have a feeling this will be too much of a time crunch. If not SoWo, we hope to debut at Wuste in Las Vegas. Aside from this project, I predict having some more Video DIY opportunities in the next month. I shall keep you all updated via Facebook and Twitter.
